Flood and topics of other interest.
This flood in SE Asia is really impacting me. Every time I look at the news the number of dead is up by another 20,000. Last count: 120,000. I just got back from a walk. That's almost twice the size of the city I live in. I can't fathom the devestation, disease, and death. Lord, bless those people and provide hope and relief. Get industry moving there! It is even more disturbing because I was almost in Thailand around this time for business. Amazing. God bless SE Asia, and America. And the world relief effort.
I finally got some sleep. It is sort of cool that I was up so late because I finally figured out this blogger phenomenon. I'm extremely excited about the ease of updating the journal!
The U.N.- I'm so fed up with their crap. I dare say I have never seen a more corrupt organization, except possibly the ACLU. If I hear one more U.N. official criticize the U.S. for ANYTHING I'm going to freak out. Today it was how we're not doing enough in the relief effort. Nevermind that last year we spent 40% of the world's relief monies. What IS the U.N. doing that is at all constructive in the world? Have they ever won a war? Do they even know the difference between right and wrong? (Doubtful when they kick the U.S. off of the human rights section and elect Sudan, one of the worst violators in the world). These pricks need to shut their mouths.
The sad thing for me is that most people don't even understand world politics. They think the U.N. actually cares about the "environment" or starving people with AIDS in Africa. Let me tell you something, people, that may shock you: THEY DON'T CARE!!! IT IS ALL ABOUT MONEY!!! After Bush went to war in Iraq the international "intellectuals" (read: liberals) had a fit about how the U.S. didn't wait for support from the U.N., specifically France and Russia. HELLO!!! France and Russia were the two countries most bribed with the Oil for Food scandal, arms deals, and communications infrastructures. Even before the scandal broke people like myself were talking about this. Why? We've watched "Network". We believe that "the love of money is the root of all evil". Would they EVER have said, "Sure, go in and destroy what we've built. We know there are human rights, and we believe that feeding the poor is much more important that billions upon billions of dollars." WAKE UP!!! Bush understands world politics, and is a man of moral guidance and faith. He isn't perfect. Heck no. But at least he is consistent, and goes the way I believe born-again Christians should. That is why he went. Even though it was unpopular there and here. And because of him 45 million people now live in freedom. Many people point to "insurgancies" as proof that it isn't working. Excuse me? I seem to remember race wars, civil wars, and a whole host of internal conflicts not only in the U.S. but in other civilized countries as well. Give them more than a year. At least let them have their first election.
Ok. Glad I got that off my chest.
