Can't sleep
For some reason I haven't been sleeping much during the night. It's almost as though I have a ton of adrenaline, or am excited, or anxious about something. I don't know. Maybe it's the Diet, Caffine-free Dr. Pepper I've started drinking. Maybe it's the fear that, a friend recently informed me, diet soda kills sperm. (I did some research. I still drink it. The research is freaky, though. But that's for another post.)
New Years- almost here. It's just simply amazing what God has done in my life over this last year. Absolutely amazing. And I'm so young! I can't wait to see what he does this year!
I'll be spending New Year's Eve with Ellen, Runway 36, and Naiomi Tegler at the Unity Center in Cedar Falls (Cedar Rapids?), IA. My good buddy Bob Ford runs that joint, and I'm looking forward not only to seeing him and his place, but to the free hotels! :-) It should be a happy New Year!
I made one of the BEST MEALS OF MY LIFE the other day!! A few months ago, Joanna Neitzel and a few of her sisters came over and made me a really great spaghetti dish with polish sausage. It was wonderful! Anyway, the other night I got a craving for it, and called her (she was in Kansas City for the New Years fest that I usually go to. Lucky dog) for the recipe. I made it a little different, and it was AWESOME!!!! Here's the recipe:
1 ring of Polish Sausage.
8 scallions
small can of sliced mushrooms
1/2 stick of sweet cream butter (salted, of course!)
minced garlic to taste
Prego traditional
Basically, just cook the polish sausage, garlic, mushrooms and scallions in butter until done. Then dump in the prego sauce until it is a nice consistency depending on your taste. Don't worry about draining the pan, savor all of that melted butter! Cook up the spaghetti and cover it with the sauce. Absolutely dreamy!
I'm still not tired. It's almost 5:30a.m. and I'm getting hungry. Poop.
